Medical-Surgical Nurse – 12-Week Contract
Position Overview
The facility is seeking experienced medical-surgical nurses for a 12-week assignment in an acute care setting. You'll provide direct patient care in a dynamic unit managing post-operative recovery, telemetry monitoring, and general medical-surgical patients.
Schedule & Hours
- Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (nights)
- Hours: 36 guaranteed per week
- Rotation: Every other weekend
- Flexibility: Willingness to float to other units and hospitals as needed
- Holidays: As required
Unit Details
- Scrub color: Solid navy
- Patient-facing clinical role
- On-site parking available
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in nursing
- Current RN license (State of Alabama or Compact; no temporary licenses)
- AHA BLS certification
- Red Cross certification
- 2 years specialty experience (will consider 18 months with highest-level professional licensure and 1 year recent experience in specialty)
Preferred
- ACLS certification
