Dietitian – Day Shift
Position Overview
The facility is seeking a Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) to join the nutrition services team on a 16-week contract. You'll work days from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday, providing comprehensive nutrition care across a diverse patient population.
Clinical Scope
You will conduct nutrition assessments, develop and implement nutrition care plans, and manage patients across the lifespan. Your expertise will cover enteral and parenteral nutrition support, medical nutrition therapy for chronic diseases (diabetes, renal disease, heart failure, GI disorders), food-drug interactions, calorie counts, and nutrition-focused physical exams. You'll round with interdisciplinary teams and adjust care plans based on patient response and lab values.
Requirements
- RD/RDN credential (required at submission)
- BLS certification
- Minimum 1 year of clinical dietitian experience
- Proficiency with nutrition assessment tools and medical charting systems
- Strong clinical knowledge of enteral nutrition, TPN, fluid and electrolyte management, and therapeutic diet ordering
Schedule & Expectations
- Shift: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–4:00 PM
- Patient load: 22 patients on days; 25 on weekends (as assigned)
- Maximum time off: 7 days per contract (must be finalized at submission)
- Holiday coverage: Expected to work major holidays per contract terms
- Orientation: 40 hours; non-billable modules included based on contract length
Compliance
Full compliance (vaccinations, background checks, certifications) required before start. All documents due the Tuesday prior to your first day.
