Interventional Radiology & Cardiology Cath Lab – Travel Nursing

Position Overview

The facility is seeking an experienced RN for a combined interventional radiology and cardiology cath lab. This is a 16-week day shift assignment in a high-volume procedural environment.

Shift & Schedule

• Days: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–4:00 PM (8-hour shifts)
• Call Requirement: Every third week, including weekday call (4:30 PM–7:30 AM) and one weekend per month (Friday 4:30 PM–Monday 7:30 AM). Callback time is 30 minutes for STEMIs; IR callbacks vary by procedure type.
• Weekends: Two weekends per month during call weeks
• Orientation: 16 hours

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 2 years in cath lab and/or interventional radiology (1st-time travelers welcome)
• Licenses & Certifications: Active RN license, ACLS, BLS, and NIH certification
• Essential Skills: Scrubbing, circulating, telemetry monitoring, STEMI call experience, IV starts, procedural sedation monitoring
• Preferred Skills: , PA line placement, conscious sedation administration

Clinical Scope

You'll work in an 85% IR / 15% cardiology split environment covering:

• Interventional radiology procedures
• Invasive cardiology and STEMI interventions
• Electrophysiology device implants
• Peripheral vascular procedures

Additional Notes

• EKG testing required prior to start
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Scrubs provided
• Pre-approval required for any time-off requests
