NICU RN – Level III/IV – Night Shift

Position Overview

The facility's Level III/IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit is seeking an experienced NICU RN for night shift (19:00–07:00). This is a 26-week contract with the option to extend if desired.

Schedule & Staffing

  • Shift: Night 3×12-hour
  • Block Scheduling: Required
  • Weekend Coverage: 6 shifts per 6-week period; self-scheduling
  • Float: Yes, may include nearby sister facilities
  • On-Call: No

Requirements

  • 2+ years NICU experience; Level III experience preferred
  • BLS and NRP Advanced certifications
  • Valid Compact state license at time of submission
  • Commitment to working 3 of 5 holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)

Clinical Scope

You'll care for high-acuity neonates with diagnoses including prematurity, respiratory distress, hypoglycemia, sepsis, and surgical conditions (excluding cardiac). Skills include ventilator management (AC/PC/SIMV/CPAP/BiPAP), high-frequency ventilation, IV vasopressor administration, central line care, arterial line management, umbilical catheter placement/management, therapeutic hypothermia, and phototherapy.
