Cardiac Intervention Radiology – Cath Lab
Position Overview
The facility seeks an experienced cardiac intervention specialist for its interventional radiology suite, which manages structural heart and cardiac catheterization procedures. You'll work in a 3-room unit serving adult and geriatric patients with an average daily census of 15.
Shift & Schedule
- Days: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (or 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM)
- Call: 3 shifts per 2-week period
- Weekday call: 4:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Weekend call: Friday 4:00 PM – Monday 7:00 AM (every 6 weeks)
- Contract Duration: 26 weeks
- Start Date: ASAP
Required Credentials & Experience
- California State License (CLS) – must be current at submission
- California CRRT State License
- ACLS, ARRT R, BLS, and Fluoroscopy Permit
- Minimum 3 years of experience
- At least 1 year in cardiac intervention or related specialty
Clinical Scope
You'll perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterizations, percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI), TAVR, structural heart closures, pacemaker insertions, angiography, stent placements, embolization, IVC filter placement, and related vascular and hemodynamic procedures. Responsibilities include equipment setup, sterile technique, hemodynamic monitoring, dysrhythmia recognition, and patient care coordination.
Support & Resources
The facility provides IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, interventional services, and a dedicated unit secretary. Interdisciplinary collaboration with physical therapy, social services, and rapid response teams supports patient care.

- Travelers may be required to float to nearby sister facilities; refusal may result in assignment termination.
- Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve/Day, New Year's Eve/Day).
- RTO requests must be submitted upfront during application; post-offer requests may not be granted.
