Interventional Cardiovascular Nurse – Cath Lab
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced Interventional Cardiovascular Nurse for its busy cath lab. You'll support diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures, manage high-acuity patients, and work alongside cardiologists and interventional radiologists in a fast-paced, procedurally focused environment.
Schedule & Assignment Details
- Shift: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (5×8 hours)
- Call Requirements: On-call shifts during the week and weekends; 3 shifts per 2-week period every 6th weekend (Friday 4:00 PM – Monday 7:00 AM)
- Contract Duration: 26 weeks
- Start Date: October 19, 2026
- Holiday Commitment: Must work 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 5 years nursing experience with charge-nurse duties
- At least 1 year interventional/cardiac experience required
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications
- Compact state license required at submission
- Two professional references covering the past 3 years (from supervisors or charge nurses)
Clinical Scope
You'll manage patients across the lifespan (adults and geriatrics) and perform or assist with:
- Diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterizations
- Percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI) and stent placement
- TAVR, LAA closure, pacemaker insertion, and device extractions
- Vascular interventions including embolization, angiography, and stent-graft placement
- Procedural sedation monitoring and dysrhythmia management
- Central line placement, PICC management, and advanced hemodynamic monitoring
Additional Notes
- You may be required to float to nearby sister facilities; refusal may result in assignment termination
- Pre-start orientation: 40 hours
- Communication devices provided by the facility as needed
