Emergency Department RN — Travel Contract

Fullerton, CA | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts | 13 Weeks

The department holds Stroke and STEMI Center designations and serves a primarily adult and geriatric population, with roughly 10% pediatric patients who are stabilized and transferred to a pediatric facility as appropriate.

Shift Details

• Day shift, 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
• Weekend availability required — expect up to 6 weekend shifts per 6-week cycle, potentially every weekend based on unit need
• Holiday commitment required (3 of 5 designated holidays)
• Float to telemetry hold and ICU hold units as needed

Patient Care Scope

• All-age case mix: respiratory, stroke, cardiac, abdominal pain, sepsis, multi-system presentations
• Bedside procedures, wound care, drip titration, IV vasopressors, procedural sedation monitoring, 12-lead EKG acquisition, and patient transport (imaging, etc.)
• No trauma designation

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1.5 years of ED RN experience *(hard stop — no exceptions below this threshold)*
• Active RN license (compact license must be in hand at submission)
• Stroke experience required (hard stop)
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS
• Preferred Certifications: TNCC, CEN or CPN
• Travel experience required; no first-time travelers

Preferred

• Strong ED charting system experience strongly preferred
• Limited pediatric experience acceptable
