Surgical RN – ENT & General Surgery
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced surgical RN for its ENT and general surgery unit. You'll care for patients undergoing head and neck procedures, including those with tracheostomies and laryngectomies, as well as general and bariatric surgical cases. This is a fast-paced surgical environment requiring strong clinical skills and the ability to manage complex post-operative care.
Shift & Schedule
- Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- 3 × 12-hour shifts per week (36 hours/week)
- 13-week contract with guaranteed hours
Requirements
- Current RN license (GA or compact state license acceptable)
- AHA BLS certification required
- NIHSS certification required
- Proven surgical nursing experience in general surgery, bariatric surgery, or ENT
- Strong assessment and airway management skills
What You'll Do
Provide direct patient care in the OR and recovery areas, manage post-operative complications, assist with complex surgical procedures, and support patients with specialized airway care needs. You'll work alongside an experienced surgical team in a collaborative, high-acuity environment.
This is an ideal assignment for a skilled surgical nurse ready to deepen expertise in ENT and bariatric cases while maintaining a consistent night shift schedule.
