RN – Step Down

Location: Atlanta, GA

Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM, three 12-hour shifts per week (36 hours/week)

Contract Duration: 13 weeks

About the Role

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 18 months of recent cardiac unit experience
• Ability to independently interpret cardiac rhythms and pass a proctored Dysrhythmia Exam (paper-based, requires calipers; must pass on first attempt)
• Proficiency with cardiac drips: insulin, milrinone, dobutamine, amiodarone, heparin, Lasix, and nitroglycerin
• Chest tube management experience
• Demonstrated competency ("4" rating) on all cardiac skills
• Strong telemetry interpretation skills

What You'll See

Common patient populations include heart failure, atrial fibrillation, SVT, ventricular dysrhythmias, fluid overload, chest pain, hypertension, heart transplant, congenital heart disease, and LVAD patients. You'll manage right and left heart catheterizations, TR band management, stent placements, valve replacement procedures, pacemaker and ICD placements, cardioversions, and ablations. Heart transplant and LVAD experience is preferred but training is available.

Float Pool

You may float to similar cardiac/PCU units as needed. You will not float to monitor tech roles.
