Medical-Surgical Nurse – Research & Complex Medicine
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced Medical-Surgical nurse for a unique role blending clinical care and research. You'll work 3 × 12-hour morning shifts (36 hours/week) on a specialized unit managing complex medical patients and participating in clinical research studies.
Clinical Scope
Approximately 14 days each month, you'll support a research protocol; the remainder focuses on complex medical-surgical patients. Your patient population includes those with:
- Complicated infections (UTI, ia, sepsis)
- Tracheostomy care
- PEG tube management
- Peritoneal dialysis
- Altered mental status
- Acute pancreatitis
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Tracheostomy care
- NIHSS certification
- IV starts and PICC line placement
- Strong Medical-Surgical nursing foundation
- Current RN license
Preferred Skills
- Peritoneal dialysis experience
Contract Details
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Schedule: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM, 3 days/week
- Start Date: December 7, 2026
- Location: Atlanta, GA
