PACU Nurse – 13-Week Travel Assignment
Position Overview
The facility is seeking a PACU (Post-Anesthesia Care Unit) Nurse for a 13-week contract assignment in Lithonia, GA. You'll provide immediate post-operative care and monitoring in a fast-paced recovery environment.
Shift & Schedule
- Days: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- 3 × 12-hour shifts per week (36 hours/week)
- Guaranteed hours
Clinical Scope
In the PACU, you will:
- Monitor and assess post-operative patients during recovery from anesthesia
- Manage pain, nausea, and other immediate post-operative symptoms
- Monitor vital signs, oxygen saturation, and level of consciousness
- Communicate with anesthesia and surgical teams regarding patient status
- Prepare patients for discharge to inpatient units or same-day surgery discharge areas
Requirements
- Current RN license (Georgia)
- ACLS certification required
- PACU experience preferred
- Strong assessment and critical-thinking skills
- Ability to respond quickly to changing patient needs
