Medical-Surgical Telemetry RN – Night Shift
Position Overview
The facility is seeking a Medical-Surgical Telemetry RN for a 13-week night shift assignment. You'll provide direct patient care in a med-surg telemetry unit, monitoring patients with cardiac conditions and managing a range of acute care needs.
Shift & Schedule
- Night shift: 3 x 12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
- 13-week contract
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 12 months permanent Med-Surg Telemetry experience
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications (active, in hand at submission)
- Permanent Ohio license or valid compact state license (in hand at time of submission)
- One professional reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in Med-Surg Telemetry (required for submission; references from past 12 months preferred)
What to Expect
You'll complete facility orientation, including ECG rhythm recognition and medication safety assessments during your first weeks. Acceptable scores on both assessments are required; you'll have up to two attempts to pass. If you extend to a continuous year or longer, annual competency modules will be required.
Requirements at Onboarding
- Negative 10-panel drug screen (including nicotine)
- Background check (no open cases or license hits acceptable)
- BCI/FBI clearance (completed within 48 hours of contract signing)
- COVID-19 and flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions only)
Extension Opportunity
Candidates may extend up to 18 months; a 6-month break follows unless the facility approves deferment.
