Labor & Delivery RN – Night Shift
Position Overview
Join the Labor & Delivery team for a 13-week night assignment. This role offers the perfect opportunity for experienced RNs—first-time travelers are welcome. You'll work in a dynamic perinatal environment supporting low and high-risk deliveries, neonatal care, and postpartum patients.
Shift & Schedule
- Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, 3 days per week (12-hour shifts)
- 4 weekend shifts per month (Friday or Saturday nights)
- Mandatory on-call: 2 times per month, in addition to scheduled shifts
- Float to Perinatal units as needed
- Must work most holidays; maximum 3 days RTO (request time off)
Clinical Scope
You'll care for neonates, adolescents, and adults across:
- 4 rooms
- 11 Labor & Delivery rooms
- 2 Operating Rooms
- NICU and Post-Partum units
- 24/7 OB hospitalist and anesthesia support
Required Skills & Certifications
- Minimum 3 years nursing experience
- AHA BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN Advanced
- External fetal monitoring and interpretation
- Recognition and treatment of abnormal fetal heart patterns
- Ability to circulate for C-sections
- Active California RN license
Pre-Start Requirements
- Advanced EKG exam (80% minimum passing score; 2 attempts allowed)
- Completion of required modules before start date
- Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions allowed)
- Smoke/nicotine-free facility
