Travel RN – Med/Surg Telemetry | Greensboro, NC | Night Shift

This 13-week travel nursing contract is based on a primarily Medical/Surgical unit with telemetry capability, caring for adult and geriatric patients across a broad range of diagnoses.

Schedule

  • Nights: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, 3x12-hour shifts
  • Every other weekend required; holidays as needed
  • Float may be required to other campus locations when census is down

Patient Population & Clinical Scope

  • Observation, general medical/surgical, and surgical observation patients
  • Respiratory conditions, diabetes management (including new diagnoses and complications)
  • Palliative, end-of-life, and hospice patients
  • Psychiatric observation

Required Skills

  • Dysrhythmia interpretation and management
  • BiPAP/CPAP management
  • Blood product administration
  • Peripheral IV and PICC line management
  • Wound care/Wound Vac
  • Pre/post hemodialysis management
  • Chest tube, surgical drain, and feeding tube care

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of RN experience; first-time travelers welcome
  • Active BLS and ACLS required; NIHSS preferred
  • Must pass a compliance EKG exam during onboarding (two attempts allowed)
  • Active RN license must be in hand at time of submission
  • No local candidates within 50-mile radius
  • COVID-19 and flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
  • Previous Charge RN experience preferred

Orientation: Approximately 48 hours; non-billable modules average 2–4 hours and are completed during orientation.
