Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery nurse to join the obstetric team on a 13-week contract. This is a full-time position working three 12-hour day shifts per week (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) with a rotating schedule.
Clinical Scope
You will care for pregnant patients from 17 weeks gestation through postpartum, managing both routine and high-risk obstetric cases. Your responsibilities include admissions, assessments, pre-operative preparation, labor management, and support for vaginal and cesarean deliveries. You'll also assist with scheduled procedures including external cephalic versions and other obstetric interventions.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program
- Current state RN license
- Minimum 3 years of Labor & Delivery experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
- AWHONN Intermediate electronic fetal monitoring certification
Highly Desired
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Schedule & Location
- 36 guaranteed hours per week
- 3 days per week, rotating
- Must reside within 100 miles of the facility
