Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery nurse for a 13-week contract assignment. You'll work 12-hour day shifts (7:00 AM–7:00 PM), three days per week, in a busy L&D unit managing the full spectrum of obstetric care.
Clinical Scope
You'll care for pregnant patients from 17 weeks gestation through postpartum, including laboring patients, those undergoing scheduled procedures (C-sections, external cephalic versions), and cases. Your responsibilities span admissions, discharges, transfers, pre-op preparation, and delivery support for both vaginal and cesarean births.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited or NLN-approved RN program
- Current RN license in Texas
- Minimum 3 years L&D experience
- BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
- AWHONN Intermediate electronic fetal monitoring certification required
- BSN highly desired
Schedule & Location
- 3 days per week, rotating day shifts
- Must reside within 100 miles of the facility
- Contract runs 13 weeks; 36 guaranteed hours per week
