Radiation Oncology RN — Outpatient | Los Angeles, CA

This outpatient radiation oncology clinic manages a busy daily caseload of adult oncology patients undergoing external beam and image-guided radiation therapy. The RN plays a central role in direct patient care, education, and symptom management across the full course of treatment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Starting peripheral IVs and performing venipuncture
- Educating patients on treatment plans, medication side effects, and self-care
- Triaging patient calls and addressing oncology-related symptoms (nausea/vomiting, fatigue, neuropathy, dysphagia, constipation/diarrhea)
- Wound assessment and skin wound care (preferred skill)
- Monitoring nutritional status and altered mental status
- Collaborating with an interdisciplinary team including pharmacy, social services, and rapid response
Schedule Details:
- No weekends, no on-call, no floating required
- No scheduling requests can be accommodated — flexibility is expected
- Maximum RTO: 2 weeks total; no RTO in the first 2 weeks
Requirements:
- Active, permanent California RN license (no temp or pending licenses accepted)
- Minimum 3 years Med-Surg RN experience; radiation oncology experience preferred
- BLS required; OCN certification highly preferred; ACLS preferred
- Flu vaccine mandatory — no exemptions
- 2 supervisory references from within the past year required at submission
