Cath Lab RN – Day Shift
Position Overview
The facility seeks an experienced Cath Lab RN for a 13-week contract. You'll work day shifts (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM) on a 4x10 schedule, supporting both diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures in a busy acute care setting.
Clinical Scope
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterizations
- Left and right heart catheterizations
- Pulmonary artery line and Swan Ganz monitoring
- Procedural sedation administration and monitoring
- Dysrhythmia interpretation and management
- Patient care across adult populations requiring cardiac intervention
Schedule & Expectations
- Day shift: 4 x 10-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM)
- Weekends: Open to working weekends; expect frequency may exceed every other weekend to meet unit needs
- Holidays: Commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
- Call: Required; on-call expectations apply
- Float: May be required to float to nearby sister facilities within a 50-mile radius
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year cath lab or related nursing experience
- Current RN license (compact license required at submission)
- ACLS and BLS certifications
- Ability to provide 2 professional references covering the past 3 years
