RN – Med/Surg – Night Shift
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced RN for its Medical/Surgical and Telemetry unit on the night shift. You'll provide direct patient care in a dynamic environment, managing a varied patient population across med/surg and telemetry specialties.
Shift & Schedule
- Shift: Night, 3x12-hour (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
- Contract Duration: 8 weeks
- Start Date: October 5, 2026
Requirements
- 2 years of RN experience in med/surg or telemetry required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications (licenses in hand at time of submission)
- California RN license in hand
- Previous charge nurse experience preferred
- Clean background (no DUI hits)
Unit Details
You will float within the unit structure in rotation with staff. Float assignments may include med/surg, telemetry, and other clinical areas in accordance with facility floating policies and your clinical experience. Appropriate orientation to new units is provided.
Required Onboarding
Within 30 days of start, you must complete two mandatory courses:
- Assaultive Behavior training
- Fire Card certification
Important Notes
- COVID-19 vaccination required; no exemptions
- All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of application; requests submitted after an offer is made will not be approved
- Documentation due 2 Mondays prior to start date
- Charting system training will be provided
