Labor and Delivery Night Nurse
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced Labor and Delivery nurse for night shifts. You'll provide direct patient care in a busy L&D unit managing 100–300 births monthly, including high-risk antepartum cases, active labor support, and mother-baby care.
Shift & Contract
- Night: 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:00)
- 13-week contract
- Start date: October 5, 2026
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience
- Current California RN license
- BLS, ACLS, NRP certifications
- AWHONN Intermediate or Advanced, or C-EFM certification
- COVID-19 vaccination required (no exemptions)
Clinical Scope
You'll manage antepartum, labor, delivery, and postpartum care in an LDRP environment with Level I Nursery support. The facility uses Paragon for charting; training is provided.
Important Notes
- All candidates must complete Assaultive Behavior and Fire Card courses within 30 days of start date (these are facility requirements for onboarding)
- Floating to other units may occur in rotation, per facility policy and your clinical experience
- Documentation due 2 weeks prior to start date
- Background clearance required; DUI hits will disqualify applicants
