Labor and Delivery Night Nurse
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced Labor and Delivery nurse for night shifts in a busy obstetric unit. You'll provide direct patient care across the labor and delivery continuum, including high-risk antepartum cases, intrapartum management, and mother-baby care.
Shift & Schedule
Night shift: 4 x 12-hour shifts (19:00–07:00)
13-week contract
Start date: November 16, 2026
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience
- Current California nursing license
- BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN or C-EFM certification required
- Charting system: Paragon (training provided)
Clinical Environment
Work in a high-volume obstetric setting handling 100–300 births per month. You'll manage high-risk antepartum patients, labor induction and augmentation, fetal monitoring, delivery support, and postpartum/mother-baby transitions. Scope includes Level I nursery coordination and LDRP care.
Important Notes
- COVID-19 vaccination required; no exemptions
- You may be floated to other units in rotation, consistent with your clinical experience and facility policies
- Two required onboarding courses must be completed within 30 days of start: Assaultive Behavior and Fire Card
- Documentation deadline: 2 Mondays prior to start date
- RTO (requested time off) must be submitted at the time of offer; changes requested after offer will not be approved
