Surgical Technologist – Operating Room
Position Overview
The facility's operating room is seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist for a 13-week contract. You'll work in a dynamic 22-room OR environment providing surgical support across a broad range of specialties.
Shift & Schedule
- 12-hour shifts with 7 AM or 7 PM start times
- Day/Night rotation (36-hour guaranteed weekly hours)
- Every 3rd weekend required
- Every other holiday required
- 1x call per schedule
- Potential to float to other OR locations as needed
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of inpatient surgery experience
- Level 1 trauma experience required
- NBSTSA certification (required; no alternatives accepted)
- BLS certification
Clinical Scope
You'll support cases across general, gynecological, urological, oral, otolaryngology, bariatric, orthopedic, neurosurgery, vascular, thoracic, cardiac, plastic, podiatry, robotic-assisted, pediatric, trauma, and spine surgery. Competency in at least 5 of these specialties is expected. The OR operates 24/7 with experienced surgical teams.
