Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM

About the Role

The facility is seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery RN to join a busy perinatal unit. You'll provide direct care to laboring patients, manage maternal and fetal monitoring, and support vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections. This role requires a skilled, versatile clinician who can manage high-risk obstetric conditions, provide immediate newborn resuscitation, and deliver compassionate family-centered care.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor maternal and fetal status, assess fetal heart rate patterns, and escalate concerns promptly
• Administer labor medications, including induction/augmentation agents and epidural support
• Assist with vaginal deliveries and circulate for cesarean sections
• Manage high-risk conditions (preeclampsia, hemorrhage, fetal distress) with appropriate interventions
• Provide immediate newborn care and resuscitation support
• Educate patients and families on labor progress and pain management options
• Collaborate with OB physicians, midwives, anesthesia, and NICU teams
• Document care accurately in the electronic health record

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license (state or compact)
• BLS, ACLS, and NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certifications
• 1+ years of L&D experience
• Experience with fetal monitoring, high-risk OB, and both vaginal and cesarean deliveries
• BSN preferred; ADN accepted per facility policy
• AWHONN Fetal Monitoring certification preferred

Schedule & Expectations

This is a regional contract with potential float responsibilities to other facilities as needed. You'll be subject to weekend, holiday, and call requirements per department guidelines.
