About the Role
The facility's Emergency Department is seeking an RN to join a high-acuity team managing trauma activations, medical emergencies, and urgent care across all patient populations. You'll work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment where rapid assessment, critical thinking, and strong clinical skills are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- and assess incoming patients; prioritize care based on acuity
- Respond to trauma activations, codes, and rapid patient deterioration
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions per protocols
- Monitor patients awaiting admission, transfer, or discharge
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams on patient care plans
- Educate patients and families on discharge instructions and follow-up care
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure patient flow in high-volume settings
- Follow infection control, safety, and de-escalation protocols
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license (Colorado compact license acceptable)
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification required
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) and NIH stroke certification required
- Minimum 1 year of emergency department experience
- Proficiency with protocols and high-acuity environments
- BSN preferred; ADN accepted per facility policy
Schedule & Float
- 12-hour night shifts
- Every other weekend and holiday rotation per unit schedule
- May float to support other facilities as needed
