Cardiac Telemetry / PCU Travel RN — Greensboro, NC

Contract: 13 weeks | Shift: Days, 3×12-hour shifts (07:00–19:30) | Start: October 2026

This step-down/telemetry unit focuses primarily on cardiac patients, with a secondary emphasis on respiratory conditions. The patient population includes adults and geriatrics presenting with Congestive Heart Failure, Acute Coronary Syndrome, rule-out MI, NSTEMI, arrhythmias, Respiratory Failure, COPD, and ia.

Schedule & Float

  • Every other weekend required; holidays as needed
  • Floating to other campus locations required as needed
  • Six weekend shifts per contract

Required Certifications

  • ACLS, BLS, NIHSS

Required Clinical Skills

  • Cardiac telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation
  • Titration of cardiac drips and IV insulin protocols
  • BiPAP/CPAP and High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC) management
  • Central line care, CVP monitoring, and TR Band use
  • Blood product administration and pre/post cardiac cath care
  • Pre/post hemodialysis management and renal failure care
  • ABG interpretation and feeding tube management

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of RN experience; cardiac telemetry experience required
  • Prior charge experience preferred; first-time travelers welcome
  • Active RN license in hand at time of submission
  • EKG competency exam required (2 attempts allowed)
  • No candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility
  • COVID-19 and flu vaccinations required (medical/religious exemptions considered)

Orientation: 24 hours, plus unit-based non-billable modules (approximately 2–4 hours)
