Travel RN – Cardiac Neuro ICU | Wichita, KS

Night Shift | 13-Week Contract

This is a night shift opening (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) in a fast-paced Cardiac Neuro ICU located in Wichita, KS. The unit manages a complex, high-acuity patient population spanning both cardiac and neurological critical care.

Clinical Scope

The unit performs a wide range of advanced procedures, including:

• Cardiac catheterizations (STEMI & NSTEMI)
• Balloon pump and Impella management
• Targeted temperature management (TTM) post-cardiac arrest
• Cardioversion and CRRT
• Neuro procedures: external ventricular drains (EVDs), thrombectomy, and coiling
• Central and arterial line management
• Complex medication drips: vasoactives, sedatives, and paralytics

Shift & Scheduling Details

• Schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Guaranteed hours: 36/week
• Bedside shift report: mandatory
• Multidisciplinary rounding (MDRs): mandatory

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of current hospital ICU experience
• BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certification

Preferred Qualifications

• Neuro ICU experience
• Prior experience in high-acuity ICU settings
