Position Overview
The facility is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to evaluate and treat patients with communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders in a long-term care or rehabilitation setting. You will develop individualized plans of care, implement evidence-based interventions, and document outcomes in accordance with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Screen, evaluate, and rehabilitate patients with speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders
- Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans using standardized assessments
- Assess patient progress regularly and adjust treatment accordingly
- Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members
- Document all clinical information in the electronic health record system
- Participate in patient care conferences, utilization reviews, and rehabilitation meetings
- Prepare discharge summaries meeting regulatory and clinical requirements
- Support and supervise Clinical Fellows or student SLPs as assigned
- Maintain compliance with ASHA and state practice standards
Requirements
- Oklahoma State SLP License (required)
- CCC Certification (required)
- Minimum 1 year post-graduate SLP experience
- Long-term care or rehabilitation experience (required)
- New graduates considered if Level II clinical experience completed
Position Details
- Schedule: Days, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM, 8-hour shifts
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Start Date: October 19, 2026
- Location: Purcell, OK
