Position Overview
The facility is seeking a Physical Therapist to join its rehabilitation team. You'll work days, Monday through Friday, 8-hour shifts with flexible start times (as long as consistent and communicated with your director). This is a 13-week contract position.
Clinical Responsibilities
You will screen, evaluate, and rehabilitate patients with physical functioning disorders and wound care needs. Using standardized assessments and evidence-based practice, you'll develop individualized plans of care and administer therapeutic interventions including:
- Manual techniques and therapeutic exercises
- Ambulation training
- Modalities and assistive device fitting
- Wound care management
You'll assess patient progress regularly, adjust treatments, and evaluate outcomes. Services are modified based on clinical response, and referrals are made as needed.
Additional Duties
- Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, and caregivers
- Communicate with the care team regarding progress, barriers, and plans
- Document all services in the electronic health record per regulatory standards
- Participate in care conferences and utilization reviews
- Supervise physical therapist assistants and rehabilitation aides as needed
- Maintain adherence to APTA practice standards and state regulations
Requirements
- Missouri State Physical Therapist License (required)
- Minimum 1 year PT experience
- Long-term care or rehabilitation experience (required)
- New graduates accepted if they completed a Level II clinical experience
Schedule
Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–3:00 PM. No on-call or weekend requirements.
