Cardiac Telemetry Nurse – 13-Week Contract
Position Overview
Join the cardiac unit for a 13-week travel assignment. You'll provide skilled nursing care to post-operative and acute cardiac patients in a fast-paced telemetry environment.
Shift & Schedule
- Days: 3x12-hour shifts, 36 hours/week (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
- Every 4th weekend required
- Holiday rotation: You must work 1–2 of the three winter holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year)
- Float to all campuses as needed
Clinical Scope
Required Experience & Certifications
- Minimum 24 months in telemetry/cardiac, stepdown, or progressive care
- Proficiency in cardiac drip titration and rhythm interpretation
- Experience with CABG, pacemaker, and ICD patients
- Competency with Alaris IV pump and wound vac
- At least one completed travel contract within the past 18 months
- Current BLS (AHA or ARC) and ACLS (AHA or ARC)
- Active Iowa license or multistate compact license
- Current driver's license
- Level II trauma experience required; Level I preferred
