Emergency Department RN – Night Shift
Position Overview
The facility seeks an experienced RN for its Emergency Department, a fast-paced combined adult/pediatric unit serving a diverse patient population across all age groups—adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics.
Shift & Schedule
- 3x12-hour nights (19:00–07:00)
- Every other weekend required
- Must cover 2 of 3 major upcoming holidays
- No on-call
- Float to other units as needed
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- California RN license
- ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS certifications
- Minimum 2 years RN experience
- BSN preferred
- Charge nurse experience preferred
- Valid license at time of submission
Clinical Scope
You'll manage patients with complex presentations including dysrhythmias, multisystem organ dysfunction, sepsis, and post-operative complications. Core responsibilities include:
- Dysrhythmia interpretation and management
- Central line care and management
- Continuous IV sedation and vasopressor administration
- BiPAP/CPAP management
- Arterial blood gas interpretation
- Ventilator care
- and emergency stabilization
