Med Surg Tele
Medical-Surgical RN — Night Shift | Seneca, SC | 13-Week Contract
This Medical-Surgical unit cares for an adult and geriatric population presenting with a range of complex conditions, including respiratory illness, infections, dementia, and neurological disorders. The unit operates with strong interdisciplinary support — including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, social services, rapid response teams, and radiology — and a charge RN is present every shift to support flow and operations.
Shift & Schedule
- Nights | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM | 3x12-hour shifts
- Every other weekend required; schedule may vary based on census
- Start date: October 12, 2026
Floating
Float to other units and campuses is required based on census needs. Staff will only float to areas where competencies have been demonstrated.
Required Certifications & Licensure
- ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
- Active South Carolina RN license
Clinical Skills Required
- MS/Tele competencies (EKG exam required — must pass prior to assignment)
- Blood product administration, heparin protocols, central line care
- IV initiation and maintenance, peripheral line management
- CVA/stroke management, renal failure, wound care/wound vac
- Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
- Feeding tube care, oxygen administration, isolation precautions
Experience & Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of Med-Surg experience required
- At least 1 year of electronic health record experience required
- First-time travelers considered based on experience
Orientation
24-hour orientation held on Mondays; pre-assignment modules must be completed within 48 hours of receiving login credentials (up to 16 billable hours).
Flu vaccine: Required — no exemptions | COVID-19 vaccine: Not required
