Med Surg Tele

Med-Surg Telemetry RN — Night Shift | Salisbury, NC | 13-Week Contract

This opportunity is on a busy Med-Surg/Telemetry unit caring for adult and geriatric patients with a broad range of diagnoses, including COPD, ia, hip fractures, and general surgery cases. The unit has a connection to a nearby cancer center, so oncology experience is a plus — though not required.

Shift & Schedule

• Nights: 3×12-hour shifts (18:45–07:15)
• Every other weekend required
• 24-hour unit orientation
• Pre-approved time off: up to 7 days (no holidays; no RTO during first week; no additional RTO after signing)

Float Requirement

Must be willing to float to any area holding Med-Surg patients. A strong Med-Surg background is essential.

Required Skills & Certifications

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience
• BLS and NIH Stroke Scale certification
• Interpretation of dysrhythmias; Rapid Response/Code team participation
• Blood product administration; central line and peripheral line care; IV insertion and maintenance
• Nasal cannula and non-invasive airway management
• Isolation precautions/PPE compliance

Preferred Skills & Certifications

• Telemetry experience; management of dysrhythmias
• OCN certification; chemotherapy administration

• Contract duration: 13 weeks | Start: October 2026
• First-time travelers accepted; local candidates considered (reduced rate applies)
• Scrubs: Navy
• NC or Compact license (pending) accepted for submission
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
