Med Surg Tele

Med-Surg Telemetry RN — Night Shift | Salisbury, NC | 13-Week Contract

This Med-Surg Telemetry unit cares for an adult and geriatric population presenting with a broad range of diagnoses, including COPD, ia, hip fractures, and general surgery cases. Oncology experience is a plus, though not required.

Shift & Schedule

• Nights: 18:45–07:15 (3x12-hour shifts)
• Contract: 13 weeks | Start: October 2026
• Every other weekend required
• Float requirement: Must be willing to float to all areas holding Med-Surg patients
• Orientation: 24 hours

Required Skills & Certifications

• Minimum 2 years of Med-Surg/Telemetry experience
• Dysrhythmia interpretation and rapid response/code team activation
• Blood product administration; central and peripheral line care and management; IV insertion and maintenance
• Nasal cannula and non-invasive airway management
• Isolation precautions and PPE compliance
• Certifications: BLS, NIHSS

Preferred Skills & Certifications

• Telemetry experience and dysrhythmia management
• OCN and Chemotherapy Administration certification

Additional Details

• Scrubs: Navy
• First-time travelers accepted
• Locals (within 50 miles) accepted at an adjusted rate
• Up to 7 days RTO pre-approved (no holidays); no RTO during first week; no additional RTO requests after signing
• Must work 2 of 3 major holidays
• NC or Compact license (pending) accepted for submission
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• COVID-19 vaccine not required
