Shift: Nights, 4x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Contract Duration: 13 weeks | Start Date: October 15, 2026
Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
About the Unit
This active telemetry floor cares for adult and geriatric patients across pulmonary, cardiac, and general medicine diagnoses. The unit features centralized monitoring with dedicated monitoring support, and the team uses a team nursing model. Patients include hospitalist-managed medical cases with cardiac and pulmonary acuity.
Clinical Scope
- Cardiac telemetry interpretation and dysrhythmia management
- Heparin protocol administration
- Cardizem and amiodarone drip management
- IV team support available on unit
Schedule & Requirements
- Every other weekend required
- Orientation held every other Thursday (approximately 16 hours)
- Float to similar telemetry units within scope as needed
- Please limit holiday RTO to no more than one of the three major holidays
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required; cardiac telemetry experience required
- BLS and ACLS required (AHA-issued)
- West Virginia or Compact RN license required; pending license accepted for submission
- Permanent address must be 100+ miles from the facility (75–99 miles considered case by case)

- Scrub color: Royal Blue/White
- Flu vaccine required (medical exemption with documentation accepted); not required outside October 1 – March 31
- COVID-19 vaccine not required
- Free parking for travelers
- Former permanent employees of this health system must wait 2 years before returning as a traveler
