Medical-Surgical Nurse — Charleston, SC | Night Shift | 13-Week Contract

This night-shift opportunity places you on a fast-paced medical-surgical unit in Charleston, SC, caring for both post-operative and general med-surg patients. The unit is staffed with PCTs and a unit secretary each shift, and the team is recognized for strong collaboration, effective communication, and consistent success in getting complex patients home safely.

Shift & Schedule

• Nights: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• 3 × 12-hour shifts per week
• Every other weekend required
• Overtime available
• Float: PRN basis

Clinical Scope

• Medical-surgical and post-operative patient population
• Procedures include wound care, intermittent catheterizations, and tracheostomy care
• Dedicated support from two case managers and a social worker for complex discharge planning

Requirements

• Active RN license
• Minimum 1 year of med-surg experience required
• BLS required
• Strong communication and teamwork skills essential

Unit Details

• Dress code: Navy blue or white scrubs
• iPhone-based communication platform used for real-time team coordination
• Frequent huddles to maintain alignment across the shift
