Registered Nurse – Cardiac Catheterization Lab
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for its cardiac catheterization lab. You'll support a high-volume interventional cardiac program performing diagnostic catheterizations, percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI), angioplasty, and cardiac stent placements.
Shift & Schedule
- Day shift: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
- 5x8-hour or 4x10-hour options
- Call duty every third week
- Expect weekend and holiday coverage
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year cath lab and interventional cardiac experience
- Current RN license in South Carolina (no pending licenses)
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- COVID-19 and flu vaccinations required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
- Two supervisory references
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage patients during diagnostic and interventional procedures
- Administer medications, IV vasopressors, and procedural sedation
- Maintain activated clotting time (ACT) and manage anticoagulation protocols
- Ensure radiation and laser safety compliance
- Provide pre- and post-procedure care
- Collaborate with IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, and other departments
Clinical Scope
You'll work with adult patients undergoing left heart catheterizations, coronary interventions, and related special procedures. The role includes procedural sedation monitoring, emergency medication administration, and infection prevention protocols.

- Float to affiliate hospitals as needed
- 50-mile radius rule applies
- Contract duration: 13 weeks
- Minimal time-off requests preferred during first two weeks and full weeks off discouraged
