Circulating RN – Operating Room

Position Overview

The facility is seeking an experienced Circulating RN for a 13-week assignment in a busy operating room. This is a full-time position with a day shift schedule (07:00–17:00) and on-call requirements.

Unit Details

You'll work in a multi-specialty OR performing general, trauma, orthopedic, urologic, gynecologic, plastic, and neurological procedures. The unit also offers robotic surgical cases and maintains a dedicated cardiothoracic service. Staffing includes 1 RN and 1 CST per room, with a charge RN and in-house anesthesia coverage. You'll apply AIDET principles to enhance patient communication and satisfaction.

What We're Looking For

• Required experience: Thoracic and vascular surgery, including heart and valve replacements (coronary artery bypass graft, fem-pop bypass, mitral/aortic valve replacement)
• Core competencies: General OR circulating knowledge; ability to position, prep, and facilitate complex cardiac and vascular cases; comfort with robotic-assisted procedures
• Certifications: Current RN license and BLS

Schedule & Expectations

• Day shift (07:00–17:00) with 3 on-call shifts (12 hours) per 4-week rotation
• Every other weekend and holiday rotation required
• No float requirement
