Transplant Nephrology | Med/Surg | Kansas City, MO
This 13-week contract places you on a dedicated Transplant Nephrology unit providing medical-surgical care to patients with complex renal conditions, including kidney transplant recipients. The unit is supported by a virtual nurse who manages patient admissions remotely, allowing bedside nurses to stay focused on direct patient care.
Shift & Schedule
- Days: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- 36 guaranteed hours per week
- 3 weekend shifts per month
- No on-call requirements
Unit Support
- Daytime unit secretary
- Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) on unit
- Unit educator available
- Dialysis is performed off the unit
Float Requirements
- Agency/contract nurses float first
Required Qualifications
- ADN minimum education
- BLS certification required
- Experience in Med/Surg, nephrology, renal care, kidney transplant, or dialysis strongly preferred
Dress Code
- Royal blue scrubs; black scrub pants permitted
