Position Overview
Join the Mother Baby Unit for a 13-week contract. This is a night shift role (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) with guaranteed 36 hours per week.
About the Unit
The Mother Baby Unit features 34 private couplet rooms and provides comprehensive postpartum and newborn care. You'll work in a collaborative environment caring for mothers and babies during the critical early postpartum period. The unit manages routine postpartum recovery, newborn care, and specialized cases including patients on Magnesium Sulfate post-delivery.
Your Role
- Procedures include circumcisions
- Collaborate with a night shift team of 1 Charge RN, 11 RNs, and 1 PCT/Secretary
- Float support to L&D and NICU as needed
- Weekends required; no on-call shifts
Required Qualifications
- Current RN license
- BLS certification
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
- Mother Baby nursing experience (essential)
Preferred Experience
- Travel nursing background
- STABLE certification
- Experience with postpartum complications management
