Progressive Care Unit – Registered Nurse
Position Details
- Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Schedule: Every other weekend
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
About the Unit
Clinical Scope
You'll perform and monitor:
- Neuro and spinal assessments
- C-collar placement and TLSO brace management
- Chest tube care and management
- PCA pump and IV infusions
- Lumbar drain monitoring
- Feeding tube placement and care
- Blood transfusions
Requirements
- Current RN license (state-specific)
- ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications (required at hire)
- Neuro and trauma care experience
- Willingness to float to stepdown and med-surg units as needed
Unit Environment
The team values patient-focused, collaborative care. You'll work alongside CNAs, charge nurses, and unit coordinators in a predictable, team-oriented setting.
Dress Code: Navy blue scrubs
