Progressive Care Unit Nurse – Night Shift
Position Overview
Join a busy Progressive Care Unit as a night shift nurse (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM). This 13-week contract offers the opportunity to care for step-down patients with neuro and trauma diagnoses in a supportive team environment.
Unit Details
Clinical Scope
Typical procedures and responsibilities include:
- Neuro and spinal assessments
- Chest tube and lumbar drain management
- Feeding tube placement and care
- C-collar and TLSO brace application
- PCA pump and IV infusion administration
- Blood transfusions
- Patient mobility assistance using lifts and equipment
Requirements
- Licenses/Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
- Experience: Neuro and Trauma Care experience required
- Schedule: Night shift; every other weekend
- Floating: May float to stepdown and med-surg units as needed
- Dress Code: Navy scrubs
