Labor & Delivery RN — Asheville, NC
This Labor & Delivery travel position is based in Asheville, NC, within an active, high-acuity OB unit. The unit manages the full spectrum of obstetric care, including high-risk pregnancies and immediate newborn stabilization.
Typical Procedures
- Vaginal deliveries and Cesarean sections
- D&C, cerclage, and cesarean hysterectomy
- Immediate newborn care
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery RN experience
- High-risk OB experience
- Immediate newborn care competency
- Circulating experience preferred
Required Certifications
- NRP
- BLS or ALS
- Advanced Fetal Monitoring
Schedule & Unit Details
- Guaranteed 36 hours per week
- Weekends not required; on-call available upon approval
- Float areas: MFM unit, mother-baby, and NICU
Dress Code: Scrubs provided by the facility
