Emergency Department Nurse
Position Details
- Location: Asheville, NC
- Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
- Start Date: October 12, 2026
About the Role
Join the emergency department at the facility to provide direct patient care in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. You'll assess, , and care for patients across the full spectrum of emergency presentations—from acute trauma and chest pain to medical emergencies and minor injuries.
Responsibilities
- Perform initial patient assessments and vital signs monitoring
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary team members
- Administer medications, treatments, and wound care
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation
- Support safe patient flow and departmental efficiency
- Respond to rapid changes in patient condition
Requirements
- Current RN license (North Carolina)
- BLS certification required
- ACLS certification required (or willingness to obtain)
- Emergency nursing experience preferred
