Emergency Department RN — Night Shift | Asheville, NC

13-Week Contract | 18:45–07:15

This high-volume Emergency Department is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift contract beginning October 2026. The unit provides care across a broad clinical scope including medical emergencies, behavioral health holds, stroke care, and trauma cases, making it an excellent fit for nurses who thrive in fast-paced, acuity-varied environments.

Unit Overview

• High-volume ED with a diverse patient population spanning medical, trauma, stroke, and behavioral health presentations

• Techs support cardiac monitoring, internal processing, and ; unit clerks available on all shifts
• No floating outside the ED; must be flexible to work all sections within the department
• Every other weekend required; block scheduling is not available

What You'll Need

• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience with at least 1 year in an ED setting
• Experience in a high-volume emergency department strongly preferred
• Teamwork mentality with the ability to coach and provide real-time feedback
• All certifications must be in hand prior to start date: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS
• ENPC required within 90 days of hire
