Emergency Department RN — Asheville, NC

Nights | 13-Week Contract | 36 Hours/Week

This high-volume emergency department in Asheville, NC is seeking an experienced Emergency RN for a night shift contract (18:45–07:15). The unit serves a diverse, multicultural patient population and is known for a strong team culture and collaborative environment.

Unit Details

• Fast-paced ED with medical, behavioral health, and trauma patient populations

• Techs available in cardiac monitoring, , and internal processing areas; unit clerks on days and nights
• No floating outside of the ED; flexibility to rotate within all sections of the department required
• Every-other-weekend commitment; block scheduling is not available

Certifications Required

• ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, and NIHSS — all required before start date
• ENPC — required within 90 days of hire

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience, with at least 1 year in an ED setting
• Prior experience in a high-volume emergency setting strongly preferred
• Strong teamwork mentality with ability to provide real-time coaching and feedback
• Flexibility to work all areas of the ED

Patient Experience

• AIDET communication standards observed
• Whiteboards kept current; patients updated consistently throughout their visit
