Emergency Department – Registered Nurse
Shift: 18:45–07:15 (nights)
Contract: 6 weeks
Guaranteed Hours: 48 per week

About the Role
Join a busy emergency department managing a diverse patient population in a high-volume setting. You'll provide direct patient care across all ED areas, including medical patients, behavioral holds, and acute presentations. The department values teamwork, real-time communication, and a collaborative approach to patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Direct patient assessment, monitoring, and nursing interventions
- Collaboration with ED team members (nurses, techs, unit clerks, physicians)
- Flexibility to float between all ED sections as needed
- Patient experience focus including AIDET principles and consistent communication
- Cardiac monitoring and acute care procedures
Requirements
Licensure & Certifications (required before start date):
- Current RN license
- ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS
- ENPC within 90 days of hire
Experience:
- Minimum 2 years as a registered nurse
- At least 1 year in an emergency department setting
- Experience in a high-volume or trauma center preferred

Scheduling
- Every other weekend required
- No block scheduling accommodation
- Scheduling based on department census and needs
Orientation: 4 hours hospital orientation + 8-hour floor shift
Uniform: Navy scrubs (all navy, all white, or combination)
