Emergency Department Registered Nurse

Position Overview

Join a busy emergency department serving a diverse, multilingual community. This is a 6-week contract for a night shift RN (18:45–07:15) with 48 hours guaranteed weekly.

Unit Details

What You'll Do

• Provide direct patient care across all ED sections—no floating outside the department
• Perform , cardiac monitoring, and acute assessments
• Apply AIDET principles and maintain respectful, compassionate communication
• Keep patients and families informed; maintain updated patient boards
• Collaborate with a team known for strong interpersonal skills and a welcoming culture

What We Need

• 2 years' experience in a level 2 trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, or high-volume ED (100,000+ visits annually)
• Minimum 1 year in an ER setting
• Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS before start date
• TNCC, CPI, and NIHSS required on hire; ENPC within 90 days
• Teamwork mentality; ability to coach colleagues and adapt to all ED areas
• Every-other-weekend schedule commitment
