Med/Surg Telemetry RN | Weatherford, TX | 13-Week Contract
A medical-surgical telemetry unit in Weatherford, TX is seeking an experienced RN for a 13-week travel assignment. This night shift role is ideal for a confident, independent clinician comfortable managing a general med/surg and telemetry patient population.
Shift & Schedule
- Nights: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Weekend rotation required
- Guaranteed hours: 36 per week
Required Qualifications
- Active Texas RN license (compact accepted; temporary licenses not accepted)
- BLS and ACLS (both required — candidates without will not be considered)
- Minimum 2 years of Med/Tele experience
- Minimum 2 years of hospital experience
Clinical Scope
The unit provides general medical-surgical and telemetry care. Nurses are expected to be proficient in:
- IV initiation
- Foley catheter insertion and management
- NGT placement
- Dressing changes
- ADL support and patient care coordination
RNs are responsible for clinical decision-making within their scope of practice, promoting a safe therapeutic environment, and supervising designated staff as needed. Competency in patient experience standards — including bedside reporting and hourly rounding — is expected.
Floating
Float assignments may occur as needed.
Dress Code
- Navy blue scrubs with facility embroidery (proof of purchase required)
- No artificial nails or gel polish
- Hair must be neat and pulled back if shoulder length or longer
- Visible piercings limited to ears only; tattoos should be covered when possible
