Assignment Details
- Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
- Weekends: Rotating call (every other weekend)
- No floating
About the Unit
Your Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive L&D nursing care, including labor support and delivery assistance
- Circulate for cesarean sections
- Manage immediate newborn care and golden hour practices
- Deliver patient-centered care using AIDET principles and bedside shift report
- Support PACU-level post-cesarean recovery
Required Qualifications
- Active Texas RN License (temporary licenses not accepted)
- Minimum 2 years hospital or specialty experience in L&D
- BLS, NRPA, and AWHONN certifications
- Ability to circulate cesarean sections
Preferred
- Ability to scrub cesarean sections
Dress Code
Facility-provided scrubs. Hair neat and clean (no extreme styles or colors). Tattoos must be covered when possible. Visible piercings other than ears are not permitted. Beards and mustaches must be neatly trimmed.
