Emergency Department RN — Night Shift | Corpus Christi, TX
This 13-week travel nursing contract places you in a fast-paced Emergency Department in Corpus Christi, TX. The unit manages the full acuity spectrum, from ESI 5 through ESI 1, with a focus on timely intervention for stroke, STEMI, sepsis, and trauma patients.
Shift & Schedule
- Nights: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- 36 guaranteed hours per week
- Mandatory shift huddles at 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM (unless providing critical care)
Clinical Scope
- Patient population: Low-to-high acuity (ESI 4 & 5 primary, with ESI 1–3 as needed)
- Procedures include: assessment, medication administration, wound care, splinting, IV placement, urine collection, and lab draws
- EMTALA training required
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license
- Level II or Level III trauma experience
- TNCC, ENPC, or PALS; plus ACLS and BLS
Preferred Qualifications
- CEN or TCRN certification
- CPI certification
- 2+ years of emergency department experience
