Med Surg
Medical/Surgical RN — Night Shift | Frankfort, KY
13-Week Travel Contract | 36 Hours/Week Guaranteed
This Med/Surg unit manages a diverse adult patient population with a focus on telemetry monitoring, post-procedural care, and complex medical needs. Clinical scope includes telemetry monitoring, paracentesis, CPAP management, port access, chest tube and wound vac care, NG tube management, drain management, post-dialysis assessment, central line care, and blood transfusions. Candidates with post-Percutaneous Coronary Intervention experience are strongly preferred.
Shift & Schedule
- Nights: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Three 12-hour shifts per week
- Every other weekend required
Float Requirements
- May float to a post-surgical Med/Surg unit or a Progressive Care Unit for telemetry overflow
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg experience
- Telemetry experience required; EKG interpretation skills essential
- Active RN license in good standing (compact accepted where applicable)
- BLS required; ACLS preferred
- Current NIH Stroke Scale certification (must be renewed annually)
Dress Code
- Navy blue or gray scrubs required
- Scrub jackets and long-sleeve underlayers in any color or pattern are permitted
- No royal blue scrubs, T-shirts, fleece jackets, or sweatshirts

Location: Frankfort, KY — centrally located in Kentucky, roughly equidistant from Louisville and Lexington.
