The Opportunity
Join the Labor & Delivery team at the facility in Utica, NY for a 13-week contract. You'll provide comprehensive care across the full spectrum of obstetric nursing—from antepartum and intrapartum management through postpartum recovery and newborn care.
What You'll Do
- Manage pregnant patients through labor, delivery, and recovery
- Support antepartum and postpartum patients with medical and surgical needs
- Assist with cesarean sections and gynecological procedures
- Care for newborns in the immediate postpartum period
- Float as needed to support unit operations
Shift & Scheduling
- Rotating 12-hour shifts (days and nights)
- Variable block scheduling; flexibility with both day and night shifts is essential
- 36 guaranteed weekly hours
Requirements
- 4–5 years of L&D nursing experience
- Proven travel nursing background required
- Active New York RN license (NURSYS verification required)
- Current AHA ACLS, BLS, and NRP certifications
- Ceil blue scrubs
