Progressive Care Unit Nurse — 18-Week Contract
About the Role
The facility is seeking a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) nurse for seasonal winter coverage. You'll provide care to stepdown patients in a fast-paced environment with the opportunity to float to related units to support the same patient population.
Shift & Schedule
- 3x12-hour rotating shifts (days: 7:00 AM–7:30 PM; nights: 7:00 PM–7:30 AM)
- Shifts may rotate based on operational needs
- Every other holiday coverage required
- 18-week contract (13-week option available)
Required Qualifications
- 12 months permanent experience in progressive care or a related nursing specialty
- Permanent Ohio license or active Compact State license (in hand at submission)
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
- One professional reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director (from assignments within the past 12 months)
What to Expect
- ECG rhythm recognition and SafeMedicate assessments during orientation (acceptable score required on both)
- Interdisciplinary team support
- PCU/progressive care experience preferred but not required
